About Me
Meet the Art Educator
My studio practice revolves around the intimacy and relationship of metal. I explore creating sculptural works through the casting, fabricating, and blacksmithing of different metals. As an art educator, I work in many other mediums and have a variety of works outside of metal and sculpture because as an educator I want to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment and show that all mediums of art are welcome and important. I believe that every student has the potential to create meaningful art, and I want to encourage my students to experiment and use personal expression in their work. I incorporate a variety of methods in my classroom, including hands-on demonstrations, group critiques, and interdisciplinary projects, to engage students and enhance their understanding of art. Through my work as both an artist and educator, I strive to inspire my students to embrace their creativity and to see art as a vital part of their lives.
